Can we save this old husk of a once-great motorcycle and turn it into a nice Road Hugger?

The sad story behind this even sadder candidate involves abandonment, neglect, vandalism and a plethora of purely bad choices by previous owners.

  • wiring completely torn up and detroyed
  • motor with low copmressions
  • ignition pickup gutted, re-gutted, siliconed in
  • clutch-pack dry and stuck
  • frozen shocks
  • dry and seized brakes
  • seized forks
  • rusty frame
  • engine and tramsission coated in numerous layers of paint

    • Under such circumstances, restoration is naturally counterindicated.
    The better choice would be to take this opportunity and mold the candidate into a comfortable and good looking cruiser.
